Dan Poffenberger, AG®, is the Guest Help Team Manager and a British Research Specialist for the Family History Library. He is accredited by ICAPGen in English research. He received a BA degree from BYU and has done professional research for 30 years. Dan has presented at numerous conferences nationally and internationally. He and his wife Keirstin have been married for 30 years and they have 5 children and 4 grandchildren.

Dr. Tim Janzen, MD




Tim Janzen is a medical doctor in Portland, Oregon. For the past 12 years he has been using DNA analysis to help complement traditional genealogical research. Glenn Penner and he are the co-administrators of the Mennonite DNA project at www.mennonitedna.com. Tim has a strong interest in many areas of genetic genealogy, particularly in regards to phasing and autosomal DNA analysis. Dr. Janzen speaks frequently on this topic.

Barbara Randall discovered genealogy at the 2009 Jamboree and the addiction began. For the last year she has led the Legacy Family Tree User Group, presented several workshops and will be chair of the 2015 Jamboree. A member of the SCGS Board, Barbara is also a DAR registrar and volunteer genealogist consultant. She is a special education middle school teacher/coordinator.
