It's been a week since the fun began in Burbank, California. The Annual Southern California Genetic Genealogy, Family History Writers and Genealogy Jamboree conferences draw family historians of all experience levels as well as renowned speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors from all corners of the world for an outstanding educational event.



To those who joined us - thank you for bringing the fun! Your enthusiasm and joy radiated every day. It was exciting to witness and be a part of. To those who could not make it in person, but joined in virtually via live streaming - your presence was felt throughout the conference and we enjoyed having you with us.

*What happened to free Live Streaming at Jamboree?

Ancestry.com has generously underwritten the Jamboree Live Streaming program for several years and is doing so again this year. The SCGS is very appreciative of Ancestry’s support of our conferences. Unfortunately, ever-increasing costs have caught up to us and prevent us from offering this event at no charge. The Jamboree Committee has kept fees as low as possible. For members, the fee is $10 for 12 classes. That’s just 83 cents per class! For non-members, the fee is $55 for the 12 classes or just $4.58 per class. Compared to other conferences, SCGS Live Stream offerings remain a bargain!

Download for IOS, Android, and all web-enabled smartphones. A one-stop resource for schedules, speakers, exhibitors, many syllabus articles, maps. 

JamboFREE 
Thursday sessions are free to the public as part of the SCGS mission to "...provide instruction in accepted and effective research techniques." 

Pink and Blue Sheets 
The most important tool you will use during the weekend. Legal-sized pink (Jamboree) or blue (Genetic Genealogy and Family History) sheets give you the full conference schedule, information on parking, scanning, book signings, food and a map of the Marriott.

Syllabus
All paid registered attendees receive a free digital syllabus that includes all three conferences. Printed copies are available for purchase while quantities last. Syllabus handouts are available on the Jamboree App when authorized by the speaker. Copyright laws apply.

Bag Inserts -  Don’t throw away those Show Specials!
We’ve asked every Exhibitor to offer you a show special that beats anything you can get on the internet.  Many have put their show specials on their conference bag flyers. So, don’t just chuck those papers in the nearest bin!  Take a moment to see who has the special you’ve been waiting for … maybe one you haven’t thought of yet!

Volunteer
Jamboree volunteers are a special lot. They have devoted time and effort to bring you the best conference possible. Stop by the Volunteer station to join in the fun! If it weren't for the volunteers, there wouldn't be a Jamboree! 

Research Database Tech Zone
Explore some of the most popular paid subscription websites for FREE! Stop by the Tech Research Zone in the Jamboree Research Hallway Friday, June 1st, between 9am - 6pm and Saturday, June 2nd between 9am - 4:30 pm and take a test drive.

Seating Policy 
Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. Seats cannot be saved within 3 minutes of the start of a session. Once a session is full to capacity, no one will be allowed to enter (fire marshall rules). 

Be Kind 

Jamboree draws family historians and genealogists, volunteers, speakers, exhibitors from all over. Everyone is trying to have a great conference. Treating one another as we would like to be treated will ensure that we all have a great experience.
