IMPORTANT MARRIOTT UPDATE

Marriott Room Block is Almost Full

If you are planning on staying overnight while you attend the Genetic Genealogy and Jamboree 2019 conferences, and you haven’t made your hotel reservations yet, then you might want to stop what you are doing and read through the end of this blog post.

The regular and concierge room blocks are full. Our best advice - Call the the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport directly and ask for our Marriott Booking Specialist, Daisy Topete, directly at 818.840.6411 or email her at dtopete@burbankmarriott.com.
Don't forget to mention the group SCGS Genealogy.  They will advise you of the most current room availability and pricing. Cancellations sometimes occur, and you might be lucky to get the Jamboree rate.

For Special Requests (such as a handicap room) after you made your reservation, contact Daisy with your reservation number and request.

Lodging Alternatives

There are also other alternatives within close proximity of the Marriott. Below is a list of some of the properties near the conference. We are not contracted with these properties, but we have heard good reports about availability.

Roommate Connection

If you are willing to share a room with a fellow genealogist and save money on your own hotel room, please register with our roommate service by emailing roommate@scgsgenealogy.com

Make sure you put Roommate Connection in the subject line and include your name, phone number and dates of attendance. Also, tell us what type of roommate you are looking for – male/female; early riser or night owl; sleeps with the TV on/zone of silence; snoring is/isn’t a problem – whatever is important to you. Be sure to note any allergies or other considerations.

*Please note this service does not reserve rooms. It only puts like-minded attendees in touch who might be able to share expenses.
