The loss of the 1890 Federal census is a source of great frustration for American Genealogists, but all hope is not lost! Learn strategies and gather tips for success in locating your family in other records between the 1880 and 1900 Federal censuses.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Sara Cochran has been conducting genealogical research for over 25 years, and her research has taken her into nearly every state in the USA as well as Ireland, Italy, Austria, and Britain. She holds a Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate as well as a Bachelor Degree in Library Science. She especially enjoys breaking down brick walls for her clients, discovering the stories of black sheep ancestors, and helping individuals preserve their photographic legacy.



HANDOUT

A handout will be available shortly before the presentation. A link will be included in a reminder that will be sent the day before the session.

Friday, May 31 intensive DNA workshops offered by presenters top in their field. These separate-fee events are offered as a benefit to Conference attendees. To register for a DNA workshop, you must be registered for at least one day of the Genealogy Jamboree or for the Genetic Genealogy Conference. These workshops run concurrently with JamboFREE. This is a hands-on workshop on reading English Secretary Hand which generally covers English records from 1500-1650. It will cover the alphabet including unique characteristics of some letters, abbreviations, reading aids and provide typical documents for hands-on transcribing, practice and help.
