Jim Brewster holds a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from Northern Arizona University and works for Family Tree DNA as the Group Projects Assistant Manager. He enjoys making genetic testing understandable.

Founder and CEO of The Center for Black Genealogy, and author of "Black Roots." He has appeared on PBS, CBS, ABC, BBC, Discovery Channel, History Channel and Who Do You Think You Are? He researched Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Johnson’s family history, consulted on the genealogies of Oprah Winfrey, Smokey Robinson, and Reverend Al Sharpton. He has also consulted for several television programs including: Who Do You Think You Are?; African American Lives; The Real Family of Jesus.

Angie Bush, MS

Angie Bush, MS, is the Region 1 Director for the National Genealogical Society, and a full-time senior genealogist researcher with AncestryProGenealogists in Salt Lake City. Angie has been interested in her genealogy since she was very young. Although she spends much of her time working on recent unknown parentage cases, her favorite type of research involves breaking through decades-old “brick walls” using a combination of traditional records and genetic evidence.

Heritage is something she always felt passionate about, but never more so than after the birth of her daughter. From this inspiration came her first personalized book, My Heritage Book.

Duff Wilson has worked with Family Tree Maker since 2004. He has twenty five years of software design and development experience and has earned national awards for his work. Duff is an avid genealogist, and works closely with countless genealogists, ranging from novice to expert.

Jamboree 2017 Speaker Spotlight: Angie Bush, MS

Angie Bush, MS, is the Region 1 Director for the National Genealogical Society and the chair of the Genetic Genealogy committee. Her day job is as Genetic Genealogist Researcher with Ancestry ProGenealogists in Salt Lake City. Although she spends a lot of time working on recent unknown parentage cases (adoptions, unknown fathers), her favorite type of research involves solving decades-old “brick-walls” using a combination of traditional records and genetic evidence. Angie is a Utah native and lives with her husband and two descendants in Sandy, Utah.

Jamboree 2015 - Meet the Speaker: Angie Bush, MS.

Angie Bush, MS (Biotechnology), BS (Molecular Biology), is the Director of Region 1 for the National Genealogical Society. She is a professional genetic genealogist and has been researching her own family since she was eight years old. Between obtaining her bachelors and masters degrees, she spent several years working in the biotech industry where she gained an in-depth knowledge of the technologies used in DNA testing. She co-coordinated the Advanced DNA course for the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy in January with CeCe Moore, and has presented at several other national conferences over the past year.

Angie is a moderator on the ISOGG Facebook page and co-moderates the DNA Newbie board. She has helped many adoptees to find their biological family through autosomal DNA testing and is particularly focused on using DNA as a genealogical record to reconstruct relationships and break down brick walls - whether they are recent or several hundred years old. She regularly provides advice regarding genetic genealogy to other genealogists in the Salt Lake City area where she lives with her husband and two descendants.
