Kate Eakman holds an MA in history from the University of North Carolina. A former college history professor, she is a senior researcher for Legacy Tree Genealogists. Eakman brings a rich historical background plus more than 20 years of genealogical experience to her projects which include Irish, Scottish, and English genealogy, as well as Native American, African American, and brick wall research.

Jamboree 2016 Speaker Spotlight: Kim R. von Aspern-Parker

Kim R. von Aspern-Parker has a background that includes work as a dance instructor, dental assistant, journalist and public relations expert. She began researching her ancestors 28 years ago, this has led to an ongoing career in genealogy spanning almost two decades. Through her business, Seven Sisters Genealogical Group, she lectures, does client research, teaches, provides research coaching and research tours. Ms. von Aspern-Parker is a member of APG, NGS, SCGS, and the Genealogical Speakers Guild.
