When the first iPad was released on April 3, 2010, the world sat in amazement as consumers flocked to the store to purchase this new gadget. This was a mobile devise that could access the Internet, play games, and handle your email. The first iPad did not have a camera but could do many functions people typically used a computer to accomplish.
Many other types of tablets have since come to the marketplace, but the Apple iPad is still considered to be the most prominent and popular. Time and technology advancements have given the iPad more and more functionality and some believe that the iPad can actually replace a personal computer.
This workshop is specifically designed to teach family historians/genealogists how their iPad can provide all the tools needed to do research, record family histories, create and manage family trees, document ancestors' lives with images of census records, draft registrations, vital records as birth, marriage and death records, and more. The iPad can be used to create family history books to be passed along to your descendants for posterity.
This workshop will be a lot of fun, yet informative. Spend a few hours with Katie Gertz - who has owned every iPad that has been released since 2010. Katie is certified as an Apple Product Professional and has been teaching iPad and iPhone classes for the last five or six years in Arizona and California. Her local Apple Store is her favorite place to "hang out".
