The Y chromosome DNA, with its direct paternal line inheritance pattern, is a powerful tool for any genealogist, male or female, seeking to extend or verify a genealogical line. This lecture will cover basic and intermediate principles of using YDNA verify and extend your pedigree chart.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Sixteen years of experience in the genetic genealogy industry has qualified Diahan Southard to instruct all levels of interest. She has a passion for genetic genealogy, a genuine love for people, and a gift for making the technical understandable. Southard is also the author of DNA Quick Guides, producer of a video tutorial series, as well as a featured author for Family Tree Magazine, regular contributor to Lisa Louise Cooke’s Genealogy Gems.
