The American Historical Society of Germans from Russia (AHSGR) is a nation-wide, non-profit genealogical society promoting the culture and genealogy of those immigrants who left Germany and moved to Russia under the invitation of Catherine the Great in 1764. They were permitted to maintain their German culture, language and religion until the Communist regime tried to exterminate them. Many fled to the United States, Canada, and South America.
Visit them at www.AHSGR.org, or on Facebook for more information and be sure to see at Jamboree!
