The Southern California Genealogical Society and Jamboree
are honored to have well over 100 societies, across the nation and Canada,
publicize the Jamboree in their newsletters, through their websites and social

Not only is Jamboree the largest “single society”
genealogical conference, but it is hosted by a genealogical society, the
Southern California Genealogical Society.
Genealogical, historical, lineage, ethnic, and veterans societies,
along with libraries, are fantastic resources for your genealogy research! If
you’re stuck in your research and have exhausted online resources, this would be

Jonny Perl
DNA Painter Ltd
Jonny Perl is a genealogist, DNA enthusiast and web
developer based in Swansea, Wales. He is the creator and founder of
dnapainter.com, an award-winning web application for chromosome mapping and
tree visualizations. Jonny has collaborated with the genealogy community to
create popular tools that help people around the world interpret the results of
their autosomal DNA tests. Born in Belfast, Jonny has family roots in Ireland,
England and Germany.
The Need for Third-party Party DNA TOOLS
Alongside the increasing popularity of consumer DNA tests,
more and more third party tools have emerged. Drawing on his own experience
with DNA Painter, Jonny will talk about what drives people to develop these
tools and what kinds of puzzles they might be available to help solve in
future.
