The Southern California Genealogical Society is pleased to announce plans for the 48th Annual Southern California Genealogy Jamboree. The conference will be held at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel, Burbank, California, Friday through Sunday, June 9-11, 2017.

One of the largest genealogy conferences, the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree offers a wealth of educational opportunities for family historians and genealogists of all experience levels. The theme for Jamboree 2017 is "Hunting Your Heritage." 

Jamboree welcomes all attendees interested in genealogy and the expansion of research knowledge and skills. Heritage focuses for 2017 include the British Isles and Ireland, Armenia and the Caucasus, and African American Research.

Jamboree 2017 will feature:

• 85+ national, regional and local speakers
• 125+ class sessions
• JamboFREE sessions Friday morning
• Hands-on in-depth workshops (space limited, additional fees required)
• Research tours Thursday and Friday
• Free exhibit hall 
• One-on-one help with research and DNA results

Back by popular demand, SCGS will hold its fifth Genetic Genealogy Conference, "Diving Into DNA", on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel. This unique conference provides the opportunity to hear from some of the top leaders in the field of genetic genealogy, with topics suitable for all levels of experience using DNA for genealogical research. Six intensive workshops will also be offered during this event that will provide an opportunity for in-depth study of genealogical research techniques of interest (additional fee required). 

The Genetic Genealogy Conference is separate from Jamboree, and separate registration fees will apply.
