Jamie Lee McManus Mayhew PLCGS is a member of the National Genealogical Society (NGS), the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), the Genealogical Speakers Guild, and various societies in the area where she does research. She is a Board member for the Association of Professional Genealogists, Southern California Chapter, is currently President of the California State Genealogical Alliance, past-President and current Board member of the Genealogical Society of North Orange County California (GSNOCC), and a member of the FamilySearch Wiki Community Council. Jamie is a frequent speaker in Southern California specializing in the subjects of beginning research, land records, homesteading, census records, the various parts of FamilySearch.com, and newspaper research. She was a member of the research team for the first season of the television program Genealogy Roadshow. A native of the Los Angeles area, she holds a BA in Sociology, MA in Educational Technology and a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies.
