ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
This presentation describes the two significant waves of German emigration to the U.S., (a) 1693-1790, and (b) from the early 1800s to 1914. Departure and arrival ports and their data are spotlighted along with key online sites in both the US and Germany. The major emigration/immigration books are also discussed.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Mr. Baker is a Board-Certified Genealogist (CG) with a specialty in German research. He has written articles for the NGSQ, the NGS Magazine, and Der Blumenbaum, the Sacramento German Genealogy Society (SGGS) Quarterly. He has given over 100 genealogy presentations in the past three years at local, regional, and national events.
