Do you want the magic key? The key to the courthouse? The way to unlock all the records within? Discussion includes books helpful in planning a courthouse trip; what the different names are for the court office; types of records; even what to wear and how to “pack” for the courthouse.

Jana Broglin is a Certified Genealogist and a Fellow of the Ohio Genealogical Society. She is a director for the Federation of Genealogical Societies and a past trustee of the Ohio Genealogical Society. Memberships include the New England Historic Genealogical Society, Board for Certification of Genealogists, Ohio Genealogical Society, the Association of Professional Genealogists, Genealogical Speakers Guild, and the International Society of Family History Writers and Editors. She has published over 70 books on Ohio and Kentucky and was named a Kentucky Colonel for her work on Kentucky. As a lecturer, she has spoken at local, state, and national conferences. She currently works as a professional genealogist specializing in Ohio research.

The Jamboree Extension Series allows genealogists from around the world to take advantage of the types of sessions that are offered at the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree in Burbank, CA. The series is offered as a service to the genealogical community. Webinar presentations are scheduled on the first Saturday and third Wednesday of each month.
