Richard is the Executive Vice President and Director of Programs at DNAAdoption. He is an experienced genetic genealogist and adoption search angel, avid motorcyclist, ballroom dancer, and retired Naval Officer. Richard has co-led successful Y-DNA and atDNA research projects in both his adoptive and birth families. When not helping with DNAAdoption or DNAGEDCOM, riding the roads of SoCal, or floating across a dance floor, he can be found hanging out with San Diego’s Florida Gator Club.

Barbara Rae-Venter is a retired intellectual property attorney who specialized in patenting biotechnology inventions. Barbara is a Search Angel and instructor with DNAAdoption.com. DNAadoption.com teaches adoptees how to use their DNA match results to identify birth relatives. Barbara volunteers at the Family History Center, Seaside, CA and is the Founder and Facilitator of the Monterey County Geneaglical Society DNA SIG. Katie Gertz
Katie is currently serving as the president of the East Valley Chapter of the Family History Society of Arizona, and secretary for the Family History Society of Arizona. She became her family historian in 2008. Gertz has attended many genealogy workshops and seminars and began giving presentations to genealogy clubs and societies in 2011. She owns her own computer business which she has operated since retiring from AT&T after 30 years of service. She has an MBA.
