Announcing 2014 Jamboree Webinar Series

The Southern California Genealogical Society is pleased to announce the lineup for the 2014 Jamboree Extension Series of webinars.

Since its inception in 2011, the SCGS Jamboree Extension Webinar Series has offered an outstanding educational opportunity to genealogists and family historians from around the globe. The 2014 series continues that tradition.

Two sessions are held monthly. Webinars are presented on the first Saturday and third Wednesday of each month. Saturday presentations begin at 10:00 a.m.; Wednesday sessions begin at 6:00 p.m. All times are Pacific time. Typical sessions run 90 minutes, 60 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of Q&A.

The initial webcast of the webinar is offered free to all participants. As a benefit of membership in SCGS, archived webinars may be accessed 24/7 from the members-only section of the SCGS website. At the present time, nearly 50 webinars are available for viewing. A webinar may be removed after a year at a speaker's request.

Handouts are provided for each presentation at no charge. The handout is available for download on the day of the webinar, and copies are available for reference in the webinar archive.

We encourage our audience members to invite their cousins, friends, and fellow society members. Newsletter editors, societies, libraries and others are welcome to publish the webinar schedule. A marketing handout is available for download.

We are grateful for the participation of Citrix, our webinar sponsor. The webinars are funded through donations and memberships purchased by our audience members. As long as the webinar program remains self-sustaining, SCGS will continue to offer it as part of its mission to provide ongoing education for members and non-members alike.

The list of 2014 webinars follows. For session descriptions and speaker biographies, see the SCGS website. Click on the link to register with GoToWebinar.
